The first educational institution in the Army Area of Babina Cantt was established in July 1977 and was known as the Station Sainik Nursery and Kindergarten School, Babina Cantt.
Subsequently, the Army Primary School, Babina Cantt was opened in July 1981, in accordance with Army Headquarters, AG’s Branch letter No. 13/42044/ESSA/CW-12 dated 25 March 1980. The school was established to provide education to the wards of serving and retired defence personnel, as well as civilians paid out of defence estimates.
At the time of its inception, the school offered classes ranging from Nursery to Class V.
